LTTV – Ladle Transport and Tilting Vehicle
Designed to be durable, reliable and efficient, the ETT LTTV combines proven principles and mechanisms with quality materials and components. The ETT LTTV is fitted with our second gen quick deploy launder, interlocking lift bed and our most durable powerhead yet, ensuring exceptional efficiency and maximum uptime.
The cab is protected from splashes by a comprehensive steel shield over the back, top and sides.
The heat shield is fitted with heat-resistant bulletproof glass to provide double shielding.
The ETT Ladle Lid is a single piece spun steel with thermally stable properties, ensuring no distortion and a long service life.
The lid is self-aligning, allowing a safe seal with the ladle during pouring.
The power head uses dual circuit hydraulically actuated dry disc brakes that deliver consistent braking in all conditions. Their simplified design makes them easy to maintain as they are fully self-adjusting.
The load sensing hydraulic system ensures constant speed pouring that is independent of engine speed.
The ETT Power Head integrates the proven drivetrain components from MTU and Allison, and the design feature is specially developed for Aluminium Industry vehicles. This establishes excellent reliability and durability.
The ladle lift bed is hydraulically raised to lift the ladle off the ground.
Once fully raised, the lid seals the top of the ladle, and the bed locks in position via a fail-safe over-centre link.
The operator seat can rotate 180 degrees to provide an unobscured view of operations. Cameras can also be fitted to enhance the operator's view.
In the event of engine or hydraulic failure during tilting, a high capacity hand pump in conjunction with special hydraulic valves, allows the fully tilted ladle to be safely lowered under gravity.
The lowering of the ladle will power the retraction of the launder, and then the stabilizer legs can be retracted by the hand pump.
Once the machine is removed from the furnace area, the ladle bed can be gravity lowered.
